A single-user personal assistant that builds a private, searchable index of its owner's own email.
Jarvis Personal is a personal software project written and run by David Lee. It is not a product, not a service, and has no users other than its author. It runs on hardware he owns, in his home.
It reads the owner's own Gmail messages and builds a search index from them on his own computer. That index combines keyword search with semantic search, so he can find a conversation from years back by describing it rather than by guessing the exact words it used.
It is read-only. It does not send, reply to, label, archive, or delete mail. It has no interface anyone else can reach.
It requests a single Google scope, gmail.readonly, which is the narrowest scope that permits
reading message content. It does not request permission to send mail, modify mail, or access Drive, Calendar,
Contacts, or any other Google service.
Message content is indexed locally on the owner's own machine. It is never uploaded to a server, shared with a third party, sold, used for advertising, or used to train any model.
One person. There is no sign-up, no account system, and no way for anyone else to authorize it. If you have arrived here from a Google consent screen, you are the author — and if you are not, the application will not grant you access.
